Following the incident, the drug of Bolivian origin was seized and the person transporting it was arrested. A bus passenger was detained by the Gendarmerie at the Peaje Molle Yaco toll in Tucumán province for transporting one kilogram of cocaine. According to the Argentine News Agency, the man reported abdominal pain on the bus and was taken to the nearest hospital, where radiographs revealed the presence of ingested packages. Due to the health hazard of this drug transportation method, the citizen was transferred to a hospital in the capital of Tucumán, where he was under medical supervision and expelled the 95 ingested capsules. The bus, which was stopped at the Peaje Molle Yaco toll, was traveling from San Salvador de Jujuy to Mendoza province.
