Milei Arrives in Spain for Madrid Economic Forum

President Javier Milei arrived in Spain at 1:30 PM this Friday and dedicated the entire day to rest in preparation for his short-term challenge: participating in the Madrid Economic Forum 2026. At the forum, he will speak alongside leading figures from Spain's political and economic right, focusing his speech on the "cultural battle" he is leading in Argentina.

Milei departed last Thursday for Madrid on the official AR01 plane, making a brief stop in Buenos Aires after his tour of the United States and Chile, according to the Argentine News Agency.

The president's official agenda will begin on Saturday at 6:00 AM (Argentina time) with a meeting with Spanish deputy Santiago Abascal, leader of the Vox party. He will then hold meetings with economists linked to Spanish liberalism, including academic Jesús Huerta de Soto, one of the main figures of the Austrian school of economics.

The President's speech at the event is scheduled for 4:15 PM. The "cultural battle" will be another axis of his presentation.

After finishing his participation in the forum, Milei will begin his return to Buenos Aires. There, it is expected that the president will again present his vision of economic reforms, market liberalization, and the direction of the Argentine economy.

Arrival in Argentina is scheduled for Sunday at 9:30 AM, which will mark the end of his brief stop in Spain after his tour of the United States. A fact: during this stop, no meetings are planned with the government of President Pedro Sánchez, with whom Milei has a politically tense relationship and no possibility of reconciliation.
