The Government has appointed Alejandro Horacio Ramírez to head the General Inspectorate of Justice following the resignation of Daniel Roque Vítolo, as reported this Thursday in the Official Gazette. According to the report accessed by the Argentine News Agency, Vítolo's resignation was accepted, thanking him for 'the services rendered' in his position at the aforementioned body, which is subordinate to the Undersecretariat of Registry Affairs of the Justice Secretariat of the Ministry of Justice. Meanwhile, the document officially formalized the appointment of Alejandro Horacio Ramírez as General Inspector of Justice in a measure signed by Javier Milei and Juan Bautista Mahiques. Vítolo resigned last Friday following Mahiques' request, who had taken office as the new Minister of Justice on Thursday and asked for the resignation of Vítolo, as well as the heads of the International Center for the Promotion of Human Rights (CIPDH), Ana Belén Mármora; the Office of the Anticorruption Prosecutor, Alejandro Melik; the Asset Recovery Office, Juan Cruz Montero; and the UIF, Ernesto Gaspari.
