Changes in the La Matanza Municipal Cabinet

Changes have been made to the La Matanza municipal cabinet. Fernando Espinoza, the mayor of La Matanza, swore in the new political figures he appointed to his cabinet yesterday, Thursday. Espinoza entrusted the Subsecretariat of Social Economy to 'Toty' Flores. Along with him, two former councilors from the PRO party arrived in the deep conurbation to join the management team of La Matanza's mayor, Fernando Espinoza. According to what Agencia Noticias Argentinas (NA) learned, Flores assumed the position of Subsecretary of Social Economy to fulfill his role in one of the areas closest to the Governor of the Province of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof. In this way, the social leader distanced himself from Elisa Carrió and her political space. In the most recent elections in October 2025, he ran not only against La Libertad Avanza but also against Fuerza Patria, the Kirchnerist front, to win a seat in the Chamber of Deputies of the National Congress, and today he is part of the 'matancero' Peronism. Espinoza presented Flores as the Secretary of Social Economy of La Matanza. Furthermore, the following were officially confirmed in their positions: Raúl Rodríguez: Secretary of Malvinas. Belén Pagni: (Secretary of Youth). Patricia Díaz: (Subsecretary of Social and Solidarity Economy). Brenda Vargas Matyi: Subsecretary of Social Development. Mario Barresi: Subsecretary General of Public Spaces and Public Services. Ricardo Rolleri: Secretary of Strategic Development. Laura Grecco: Municipal Subdelegate of Villa Celina. Jorge Lampa: Subsecretary of Culture and Education. In this case, with Brenda Vargas Matyi assuming a new role, Sabrina Arias will take her seat on the Deliberative Council of La Matanza.
