LA PLATA, Feb 7 (NA) -- After sealing unity, the Justicialist Party of the Province of Buenos Aires issued a political document officially naming Axel Kicillof as its new president and calling to build an 'alternative and hope' against the policies of Javier Milei. According to the Argentine News Agency, the text defines the current scenario as a context of 'brutal adjustment, social disintegration and surrender of sovereignty'. In response, Buenos Aires Peronism positions itself as the 'main containment barrier' and highlights that the provincial government has taken on the responsibility of being a 'net and shield' to sustain health, education, and public works where the national state 'deserts'. Defense of Cristina and internal message The communiqué includes strong support for the former president, ratifying the 'absolute repudiation of the unjust conviction and detention of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner', calling the fact part of an offensive against the democratic system. In electoral terms, the document recalls last September's victory as proof that 'this right-wing can be beaten' and calls for unity to transform resistance into a 'political alternative with a future vocation'.
