An 80-year-old retiree was brutally murdered in Córdoba during a robbery he attempted to resist, dying from a collapse. He was alone against at least two criminals who had entered the house. According to the Argentine News Agency and local media citing police sources, the man was identified as Julio. He lived in the Ameghino Norte neighborhood of the Córdoba capital, and the incident occurred in the early hours of Friday. Initial reconstructions of the case indicated that the robbers had jumped the front gate to access the property and surprised the victim inside. Meanwhile, the retiree tried to prevent the incident, which led to a struggle and ended in a fatal collapse. Family and neighbors stated that the man had recently suffered a robbery at the same property. After this new attack, relatives tried to assist him until the arrival of emergency services, but could only confirm his death at the scene. The investigation is in the hands of the on-duty prosecutor's office, which classified the case as homicide during a robbery and ordered the analysis of security cameras in the area, as well as the collection of testimonies to find the responsible individuals, who remain at large.
