Buenos Aires, Feb. 6 (NA) – A man known as 'Dengue' was arrested following a raid in a conventillo, accused of carrying out at least three armed robberies in January at businesses in the La Boca neighborhood. The arrest was made during an operation conducted by the City Police's Division of Community Investigations 4 (DIC4) in a conventillo located on Garibaldi Street at 1300, where detectives seized items linking the suspect to the robberies. According to information provided to the Argentine News Agency, the investigation began after complaints from merchants at the 4th Neighborhood Police Station regarding armed crimes. The La Boca-Barracas District Prosecutor's Office, headed by Susana Callejas, ordered police intervention to identify the perpetrator of the robberies at a newsstand, a bakery, and a pet shop. Following investigations into the three incidents, the evidence led to the criminal known as 'Dengue.' Consequently, the National Criminal and Correctional Court No. 55, under Judge Alejandra Mercedes Alliaud, ordered the raid and his arrest. DIC4 detectives managed to capture the thief in a public place and then entered his home, where they seized the clothes used by the accused during the robberies, including a pair of black sneakers, as well as a 21 Futura bicycle, a black wallet, and a gray backpack.
