The Buenos Aires police officer who ran over a criminal on the Southeast Access has given her statement. Before prosecutor Jorge Saizar, she explained the sequence of events. According to security camera footage, the officer swerved to avoid the truck in front of her that had braked abruptly, causing her to change lanes and, in that moment, run over the criminal. The man is in critical condition. Carlos Dieguez, the officer's lawyer, stated that his client reaffirmed that she always tried to evade and not hit the criminal, who had blocked her path with a weapon for the purpose of robbery. After her testimony, the prosecutor confirmed the initial decision not to take any measures against the woman. 'She is very upset, says she doesn't want to drive again,' the lawyer said, adding that she received no help from the authorities: 'The police turned their back on her, zero response.'
