President Javier Milei is preparing for a series of international commitments. These include participating in the signing of the agreement between the European Union and Mercosur, scheduled for Saturday in Asunción, and traveling to the Forum in Davos, Switzerland. According to the Argentine News Agency, before his trips abroad, the president intends to participate in the Jesús María Domination and Folklore Festival in Córdoba province. The visit to the province is scheduled for Friday, January 16th, where the libertarian will listen to the bands performing that day, which will conclude with a performance by composer Chaqueño Palavecino. It is expected that the General Secretary of the Presidency, Karina Milei, will also be part of the trip. The international trips will begin on Saturday, when the President returns to Paraguay to be present at the officialization ceremony of the treaty between the regional blocks, which will be signed by Foreign Minister Pablo Quirno in Asunción. With this express trip, while most of his Cabinet remains inactive due to the holiday recess, Milei will seek to send a signal of support to his Paraguayan counterpart, Santiago Peña, who will begin the pro tempore presidency of the Mercosur block. Indeed, on Sunday, the presidential delegation must depart for Switzerland, as the World Economic Forum in Davos will be held from January 19th to 23rd, where the head of state will give a speech.
