Speed Limit on Punilla Highway in Córdoba

In Argentina's Córdoba province, a section of the Punilla Highway has a maximum speed limit of 90 km/h. This section, opened in 2024, bypasses urban areas of San Roque, Bialet Massé, Santa María de Punilla, and Cosquín. Along its 21.8-kilometer length, drivers must slow down and not exceed 90 km/h on the highway's final stretch and in urban zones. For the summer of 2025, Córdoba's speed limits are: 110 km/h on routes for cars, motorcycles, and pickups; 110 km/h on freeways for the same vehicles; and 130 km/h on highways. Violators will face hefty fines ranging from 339,200 to 678,400 pesos. While drivers must stay focused on the road and follow traffic laws, passengers can enjoy the mountainous scenery. However, the reduced speed is a crucial safety measure, as not all roads in the province have a 90 km/h limit.
