The national government has intervened in the conflict with air traffic controllers, which threatened to disrupt flights in the days leading up to the Christmas and New Year holidays. For now, the strike has been called off, as the National Secretariat of Labour has declared Mandatory Conciliation.
The measure was confirmed to the Argentine News Agency (NA) by sources from the Argentine Air Navigation Company (EANA), establishing the cessation of forceful measures affecting airports nationwide.
From an operational standpoint, this means the essential air navigation service will operate without interruption across all time slots. Both domestic and international flights will proceed as scheduled, eliminating uncertainty for thousands of passengers during the peak season and on the eve of year-end festivities.
The conflict between ATEPSA (Association of Technicians and Employees for Aircraft Navigation Protection and Security), the union representing air traffic controllers, and EANA is of a salary nature. The workers demanded a salary adjustment in line with inflation, arguing for a loss of purchasing power over the current year.
Following the declaration of mandatory conciliation, air operations are proceeding with complete normality at airports throughout the Argentine Republic.

"Thanks to the efforts made by the National Government, it was possible to restore predictability and bring peace of mind to thousands of Argentines and passengers from around the world, who will be able to travel without inconvenience during the last days of the year," states a communiqué from EANA released this afternoon. It adds that "in this new context where flights will not be affected, EANA will continue to work and bet on dialogue to reach a definitive solution to the conflict."
