The Supreme Court upheld the life sentence of Edgar Ramón Visuara for the murder of businesswoman Ana Dominé, which occurred during a robbery committed by motorcycle thieves in 2020 in Tucumán. The incident took place on September 12, 2020, on Leandro N. Alem and Álvarez Avenue, when Dominé and one of her children were returning with the proceeds from their business and were intercepted by robbers who were following them in a taxi and two motorcycles. A security camera recorded the attack, which lasted less than a minute. Two criminals approached the woman, snatched her purse, and when she attempted to resist, one of them shot her in the head. The 52-year-old victim died shortly after. The Tucumán court had sentenced Cristian Godoy, Raúl Antonio Greco, Federico Sánchez, and Visuara to life imprisonment as co-authors of the homicide, while Sebastián Alfredo Quiroga and Exequiel Antonio Tous received 10 years in prison as secondary participants. The ruling was confirmed by the provincial Supreme Court in December 2023. Visuara's defense took the case to the nation's Supreme Court through an extraordinary appeal, in which they questioned the evidence and alleged that his sentence was based on a criminal record. The motion was dismissed as inadmissible, with the signatures of Horacio Rosatti, Carlos Rosenkrantz, and Ricardo Lorenzetti.
