Buenos Aires, December 6 (NA) -- Two men were detained in Corrientes for carrying 30 packages, with a total of 13 kilos, of marijuana, hidden inside the fuel tank of the car they were traveling in from Misiones. According to the Argentine News Agency (NA), based on information from the National Gendarmerie, personnel from Squadron 7 'Paso de los Libres' were conducting a road control when a detection dog alerted to the area of the rear seat. In response to the alert, the gendarmes opened the fuel tank and found sealed bags submerged in the fuel. The seized narcotics amounted to a total of 13.2 kilos of cannabis. Additionally, the vehicle, over 2.5 million pesos, and 143,000 guaraníes were confiscated, while the occupants were detained and made available to the Justice system for violation of the Drug Law.
