Global Conflicts and the Struggle for Rojava

In January 2026, major events are occurring in various regions of the world at an ever-increasing speed. In a rapid overview, we see that at the same time as the United States invaded Venezuela and kidnapped its president, the same imperial power was bombing Nigeria, and the former colonial power France attempted a coup in Burkina Faso. The United Arab Emirates, for its part, is promoting a genocide in Sudan through a mercenary force. As if they were all interconnected. At the same time, they seek to build organic ties with popular sectors around the world through practical solidarity. Rojava and Syria at war: a political assessment. In this process, one can see both changes in political organization (various combinations of Maoism, autonomism, critical Marxism, feminism, millennial traditions) and non-statist communal forms in the organization of mass power. From ANRed, we recommend two articles that analyze the offensive against Rojava with its contradictions and in a changing world scenario. In a situation where there is increasingly open talk of a change of stage and a break with the post-World War II global order and the fall of the Berlin Wall, it is more necessary than ever to address each conflict and its connection to the global movement with the greatest possible depth. In this case, we publish two articles that meet this dual objective, providing a critical and uncompromising analysis of the struggle in Kurdistan. These two articles analyze the revolutionary characteristics of the process of change in Rojava, including its internal and external contradictions. And in passing, they threaten to take Greenland.
