Tucumán Government Offers Reward for Drug Trafficker's Capture

The Government of Tucumán is offering a reward of $10 million to anyone who provides accurate information about the whereabouts of Jorge “Pelaín” Nacif. He is accused of drug trafficking, and in the words of Governor Osvaldo Jaldo, he “trades in death”. According to the Argentine News Agency, based on information from the Tucumán government, the accused has an arrest warrant for supplying drugs in several localities in the south of the province. However, last Saturday, November 29, DIROP (Directorate of Dangerous Drugs) carried out a raid on Nacif's home where he was not found. Therefore, the arrest warrant “aims to collaborate with the arrest and prevent the escape” of Nacif, indicated the Minister of Security of Tucumán, Eugenio Agüero Gamboa. For his part, Jaldo emphasized: “Many who previously had impunity and walked freely through the province of Tucumán are now in the Benjamin Paz prison or in Villa Urquiza. I have no doubt that this drug trafficker who is now loose will go to Benjamin Paz in a very short time”.
