Buenos Aires, Dec 2 (NA) – The Escobar Municipal Police have carried out over 40,385 operations since March, and this Sunday they detained a young man with 154 wrappings of cocaine during a patrol. According to the Argentine News Agency (NA).
The procedure took place at Bomberos Voluntarios and Peirano, in the Cerro Rico neighborhood, when agents from the Mounted Division noticed that an individual sped up their pace upon noticing the police presence. After intercepting him and conducting a search, they found in a backpack a black sock with 154 green nylon wrappings of cocaine hydrochloride and $80,000 in cash.
“The Mounted Division of the Municipal Police is assigned to that sector due to the characteristics of the area to be patrolled. He was charged under Law 23.737.
“The action of the Escobar Municipal Police once again demonstrates its firm commitment to the security of our neighbors and neighbors. The detainee, a 19-year-old young man residing in Belén de Escobar, was transferred to the 1st Police Station, where it was confirmed that he was carrying 160 grams of cocaine.
“With a vocation for service, our Municipal Police continues to grow and provide concrete responses,” expressed the mayor, Ariel Sujarchuk.
The local force, which has incorporated non-lethal Byrna weapons, also records interventions in gender-based violence, raids with provincial and federal forces, vehicle operations, and an average response time of six minutes in emergencies.
There, a suspicious individual was detected, identified, and apprehended with that amount of drugs and cash.
These results are possible thanks to coordinated work, which allows for quick and effective procedures.
