Tomorrow, Governor Axel Kicillof will send the 2026 Budget Bill to the Buenos Aires Legislature for parliamentary consideration in the Chamber of Deputies. Although the initiative's debate will not begin until next week, following the reactivation of committee activities, the bill will take parliamentary status tomorrow.

The lower house session is scheduled for tomorrow at 2:00 PM, although it is not expected that the ruling party will advance the analysis of the text just yet. The day is expected to be dominated by declarations and administrative matters, without any major projects up for debate.

The electoral campaign and the provincial elections in September and October left the committees inactive, which stalled the dispatch of pending initiatives.

The schedule foresees that on Tuesday, November 18, the meetings of the Budget and Taxes, General Legislation, and Constitutional Affairs committees will begin. The Peronist party has the necessary votes to pass the Budget Bill, the fiscal law, and the debt financing without major setbacks.

However, the main discussion will take place outside this formal framework, in political negotiations between the different blocs and the mayors.

The project, presented by the ruling party as a 'defense budget' against the national government's adjustment, allocates 92.6% of total spending to current expenditures and creates a State National Debt Recovery Fund for 900 billion pesos to channel resources from legal claims against the Nation.

Furthermore, the debt request includes the creation of the Municipal Investment Strengthening Fund, to be financed with 8% of a credit of approximately 3.035 billion dollars and distributed through the Unique Distribution Coefficient (CUD).

According to Noticias Argentinas, officials from the ruling party have expressed confidence in obtaining the necessary support. 'As we did last year, we are going to work on this so that the Budget passes, and we expect it to be achieved,' said Peronist bloc leader in the Chamber of Deputies, Facundo Tignanelli, in recent days. He affirmed that he has gathered from the opposition 'a willingness to start refining criteria'.
