The conflict between Lizy Tagliani and Viviana Canosa has taken a new turn, this time in the judicial arena. "If you want to avoid a verdict, you pay the fines," the journalist stated on his show. Tagliani's team confirmed they will file an appeal to ensure the trial proceeds and for Viviana Canosa to issue a public retraction, something Lizy considers essential to clear his name. For now, the final decision rests with the Justice system, which must decide whether to accept the appeal and reopen the case or consider the conflict closed. According to Ángel de Brito on LAM (América), the trial between them was suspended after the journalist decided to pay the fines imposed on her, in an attempt to close the legal conflict initiated months earlier. The scandal began in April 2025, when Canosa made serious accusations on television and filed a criminal complaint at Comodoro Py against Lizy, her colleague Costa, and other media figures like Florencia Peña and Elizabeth Vernaci. In her filing, the host mentioned alleged irregularities linked to human trafficking, prostitution, and pedophilia, which drew immediate condemnation from the artistic community. Due to the severity of the statements, Lizy Tagliani vehemently denied the accusations and filed a lawsuit for "damages and losses," arguing that Canosa's words affected his personal life and the adoption process of his son, Tati. In the following weeks, Canosa and her lawyer partially retracted their statements in the media, clarifying that "Lizy was never directly accused of child abuse," though they admitted to having requested a judicial investigation. Now, the decision to pay the corresponding fines would have been made by Canosa "to avoid a criminal trial and a possible unfavorable verdict," as explained by De Brito. "Paying the fines means taking responsibility. The confrontation between Lizy Tagliani and Viviana Canosa has entered a new chapter, this time on the legal battlefield.
