La Libertad Avanza (LLA) ultimately prevailed by 29,354 votes over Fuerza Patria, after the final tally of the national legislative elections held on October 26 was announced this Tuesday.

In this regard, LLA garnered 3,649,988 votes against 3,620,634 from the official ruling party in Buenos Aires province, thus confirming its victory in the country's largest district, with Diego Santilli as the main candidate for national deputy against former Foreign Minister of the Kirchnerist administration, Jorge Taiana.

Meanwhile, the Frente Izquierda y de los Trabajadores (Left and Workers' Front) achieved 443,254 votes and secured third place, earning them two city council members starting from December 10.

On the other hand, the libertarians secured 17 seats against 16 for the Justicialist Party.

Federal Judge Alejo Ramos Padilla received the final count after processing the remaining polling stations (estimated at 1% of the total) and incorporating the ballot papers with observations or minor inconsistencies.

In fourth place was Propuesta Federal para el Cambio, led by lawyer Fernando Burlando, with 246,246 votes, followed by Alianza Provincias Unidas with 215,585.

Partido Nuevo Buenos Aires, headed by journalist Santiago Cúneo, received 117,149 votes, while El Frente Patriota Federal, with meat businessman Alberto Samid as its candidate, accumulated 105,900.

Subsequently came the peronist alliance Unión Federal with 79,215 votes, which presented the mayor of Esteban Echeverría, Fernando Gray, as its candidate.

The number of votes Gray had obtained had helped Frente Patria win across the entire Province, but this time, by running as an independent, it siphoned away voters from the official ruling party in Buenos Aires.

The head of the Esteban Echeverría municipality had competed within the Justicialist coalition during the Buenos Aires province primaries on September 7 of last year.

La Libertad Avanza reflected its great triumph in Buenos Aires territory by having won in 99 of the province's 135 districts, thus coloring large parts of the map violet.

The final count was overseen by the president of the La Plata Federal Appeals Court, Jorge Eduardo Di Lorenzo, the president of the provincial Supreme Court, Hilda Kogan, and the federal judge with electoral jurisdiction based in La Plata, Ramos Padilla.

The Electoral Board concluded its work after nearly a week of non-stop work, with a difference of over 17,000 votes from the preliminary count.

The Judiciary has summoned the proxies of all participating groups to a hearing next Thursday to present any challenges to the count, as stipulated by the National Electoral Code.
