National Deputy Damián Arabia, a follower of Patricia Bullrich, announced his exit from the PRO block and his incorporation into La Libertad Avanza (LLA). At least five other deputies will follow him: Sabrina Ajmechet, Patricia Vásquez, Laura Rodríguez Machado, Carlos Almena, and Marilú González Estevarena. Arabia, considered Bullrich's 'heir', explained his decision on social media X: 'That is why I am joining the La Libertad Avanza block to fight for the reforms that will move Argentina forward.' This decision was accelerated by Mauricio Macri's statement that PRO will present its own presidential candidate in 2027, outside of Javier Milei's alliance. 'Imagine if someone from the Radical Civic Union or the Civic Coalition had said in 2017 that they would present their own presidential candidate?' sources close to Arabia asked. They explained that if they were to form their own block and start 'setting conditions for the government,' the government would later blame them. 'We prefer to paint ourselves violet,' they added. Arabia's decision raises the question of how many more deputies will flee the PRO block. Macri, they say, 'is lost and badly advised,' and his erratic game with the libertarian government was a mistake. 'This is not about labels or colors, it is about convictions and clarity. We take responsibility, and let others do what they have to do,' the sources concluded. They also emphasized that their maneuver 'is not against Cristian Ritondo,' who is trying to keep the PRO block as strong as possible. 'This is not against Cristian,' they stated.
