The definitive scrutiny of the legislative elections confirmed the results on Thursday in the five provinces where the main forces were neck and neck, while the vote count in the province of Buenos Aires was yet to be known. According to official data, Peronism won in La Rioja, La Pampa, and Santa Cruz, while La Libertad Avanza (LLA) retained its victories in Chaco and Chubut. In Rioja, the Frente Justicialista Defendamos La Rioja obtained 90,686 votes compared to 89,804 for LLA, with a difference of just 882 votes. The Pampean elections gave the victory to Frente Defendamos La Pampa with 90,500 votes, while LLA obtained 88,247 votes; the difference between both was 2,253 votes. In Santa Cruz, Fuerza Santacruceña got 53,421 and LLA 52,646, with a difference of 775 votes. In Chaco, LLA reached 291,956 votes, while Fuerza Patriota obtained 288,509, a difference of 3,447 votes. In the Chubut elections, the libertarian party got 89,982 and Frente Unidos Podemos achieved 88,904; a distance of 1,078 votes between them. These five provinces were part of the districts where the difference between the forces had been less than one percentage point, which had generated expectations about possible changes in the allocation of seats after the definitive scrutiny. With the ratification of the results, significant modifications in most of these districts were ruled out, although the province of Buenos Aires remains the biggest unknown due to its electoral weight and the narrow margin between the forces.
