Bessent, who was in South Korea, called Milei personally to offer his congratulations. Milei, in turn, thanked Bessent for his support, emphasizing that the Argentine people have decisively voiced their support for economic freedom and prosperity. The president also noted that President Trump's policy of 'Peace Through Strength' will transform Latin America and expressed his hope for Bessent's swift return to Argentina. Bessent praised Milei's leadership, stating that his message of economic freedom resonates throughout the Western Hemisphere and sets the tone in Latin America. He highlighted that the markets should readily and enthusiastically finance the Republic's needs for 2026. Milei declared that this is Argentina's last chance to overcome decades of poor economic management. He also announced his return to the United States in early November to participate in the American Business Forum in Miami, where he will be a speaker alongside Donald Trump and Lionel Messi.
