The results of the primaries in Argentina have shown a shift towards the political system. According to preliminary data, the party 'La Libertad Avanza' won the election, becoming the largest political force in the country with 40.8% of the votes. Her first position in 16 out of 24 provinces was taken by her main competitor - 'Fuerza Patria' - with 24.5% of the vote. This result confirmed the general moment in Argentine politics, increasing the chances of the current president Javier Milei.
The reaction to these elections was immediate and political observers called the result a 'turning point', emphasizing that the party 'Marcelo Tinelli', which previously supported La Libertad Avanza, was now in the minority. According to him, the party, which did not have significant popularity, partly due to the influence of the figure of the ex-vice president Cristina Kirchner.
Tinelli actively used the opportunity and situation in the country. He appeared on video calls with his supporters, emphasizing the emotional resonance of the political moment and national. His famous quote:
'Everything will depend on him, the president will not change with the people. There are no personal perspectives, so that this party became logical and alternative.'
Tinelli's criticism is focused on the fact that the influence of Kirchner, according to his assessment, transforms the party. He sees in this reasons to call for new calls and to preserve the electoral power. Thus, the political discourse in Argentina continues to polarize society into old and new divisions, reforming the political elite.
