Economy Minister criticizes journalists

The Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, criticized journalists and a former official for defamation against his family and for questioning the activities of his brothers as real estate developers. Caputo expressed: “There should be no greater nonsense in world journalism than that my family financed the attack on the (former) vice president. I think that kind of journalism is human trash.”

In his statements to a streaming channel, the minister emphasized his disapproval of those who defame for money, labeling them as “human trash.” He also criticized a former head of the General Inspection of Justice, calling him a “crook” for questioning the work of his brothers as developers without naming him.

Caputo lamented being caught in the controversy during the investigation of the attack against former vice president Cristina Kirchner and the unfounded accusations against his family. He accused a group of journalists of defaming and lying for money, discrediting their work and questioning his personal integrity and that of his family.
