National Gendarmerie personnel stopped a truck on the Córdoba - Rosario highway and found around 7 thousand kilos of coca leaves on board. The value of the cargo is estimated at about 400 million pesos. Although the driver was not immediately detained, he remains under investigation by the Federal Justice in relation to this significant seizure.
The discovery took place during a preventive control in James Craik, part of the Tercero Arriba department. Authorities mentioned that the coca leaves were distributed in more than 300 bags inside the truck. This vehicle started from the town of Orán in Salta and was heading to La Plata, in Buenos Aires.
After the discovery, with the collaboration of the Federal Court of Villa María, all the merchandise was seized for investigation.
