Francos: $Libra Scandal Has 'Zero' Importance

The Chief of Staff, Guillermo Francos, believes that the scandal related to the cryptocurrency $Libra involving President Javier Milei is not relevant to the population. In a radio interview, Francos expressed that the visit to parliament to address this issue "no one saw". According to his statements, people in general do not give importance to the controversy surrounding $Libra.

"This interrogation that was made to me was not seen by anyone, except for a minute or two that was published on social media, but to the general public, zero importance," emphasized Francos. He also criticized the opposition for using this episode as an attempt to discredit President Milei's image and pointed out that it was the only ethical issue they found to raise.

Regarding the legislative elections of 2025, Francos, who is one of Milei's closest collaborators, confidently stated that he trusts they will win at the polls in October of that year. It is worth remembering that on April 29, 2025, Francos was interrogated by the Chamber of Deputies in a session called under Article 71 of the National Constitution, where the scandal related to the cryptocurrency $Libra was addressed.

The Chief of Staff defended President Milei, stating that he only shared public information about $Libra and did not participate in the project, despite revelations suggesting that Milei and his inner circle had met with the creators of the currency and received them at the presidential residence.
