Conference on Anti-Hooligan Law in Argentina

The Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich, is scheduled to hold a press conference today in the Malvinas Hall of Casa Rosada to present the Anti-Barra Bill. The conference is set for 3:45 PM and will include the presence of the National Director of Security in Sports Events, Franco Berlín. The aim of this government initiative is to combat the actions of the barrabravas.

According to official sources, the bill intends to declare the barrabravas as a special type of illicit association, hold club leaders accountable for the actions of these criminal groups, and impose severe penalties to eradicate any form of violence. The proposal arises in response to the incidents that occurred during the march on Wednesday towards Congress, which involved retirees and supporters of football clubs, although it has not been proven that they were members of the barras.

In the words of Minister Bullrich: "This bill is fundamental to tackle the scourge of violence in Argentine football. We cannot allow these criminal groups to operate with impunity in our country. With this initiative, we seek to dismantle the barrabravas and ensure safety at sporting events and in society in general."

The presentation of the Anti-Barra Bill is expected to generate a broad debate in society and in the political arena, as it addresses a long-standing issue in the country that requires concrete and effective measures to be addressed.
