Social leader calls for protests against the government

The leader of the Evita Movement, Emilio Pérsico, expressed his position regarding the need to defeat the current economic and political model through social and political struggle. Referencing his relationship with Norma Plá in defending the rights of retirees, Pérsico emphasized the importance of street activism in opposing the current government led by Javier Milei.

In a public statement, Pérsico recalled: "I believe we must defeat this model, and it must be defeated with social and political struggle. I was a friend and companion with Norma Plá against the economic model of Domingo Cavallo." He highlighted the exemplary role that Norma Plá played in her time, laying the groundwork for future protests that would lead to significant changes in the government, such as those that occurred during the terms of Néstor and Cristina Kirchner.

For Pérsico, social groups must manifest in the streets and resort to measures such as strikes and conflicts to confront current issues. In a radio interview, he stressed the urgency of the situation, mentioning that reality is worsening and that it is imperative to protest, despite possible reprisals. In this regard, the social leader emphasized the importance of younger generations following the example of determination and commitment of previous generations, recognizing the value of the experience of "the elders" as a fundamental contribution in the struggle for positive social change.
