
The National Electoral Chamber (CNE) confirmed that the national legislative elections will take place on October 26, with the official campaign start scheduled for August 27. The approved electoral calendar establishes the closure of the provisional register for April 19, and the deadline for forming political alliances and confederations on August 7. For the officialization of candidates for national deputies and senators, political groups must present their identifiers before August 17.
The draw for spaces and columns on the Unified Paper Ballot will take place on August 24, starting the electoral campaign three days later. September 13 is the deadline for assigning advertising spaces in media outlets, followed by the publication of the definitive register and the designation of polling officials on the 16th of that month. From October 1, the voting locations and polling stations will be disseminated, simultaneously implementing the prohibition of public acts for vote capturing.
On October 26, Argentines will elect national deputies and senators, in case the respective province renews representatives. On this occasion, the PASO will not be held, suspended by the ruling party with the support of the dialoguing opposition. Another novelty will be the implementation of the Unified Paper Ballot instead of the traditional multiple ballot system by political party, marking a significant change in the electoral process.
