Regarding the injured police officers, it was reported that five of the twenty officers remain hospitalized in different care centers, with one recovering from surgery. The mobilization of retirees, which takes place weekly to demand the extension of the pension moratorium and the restitution of 100% of PAMI medications, ended in a strong crackdown by the Federal and City Police.
The incidents left injured, detained, and scenes of extreme violence, such as the aggression against a retiree by an officer and the impact of a tear gas canister that caused a skull fracture to photojournalist Pablo Grillo, who is in serious condition. The detainees were initially taken to the Urban Monitoring Center for identification, then transferred: the men to Alcaidía 4 and the women to Alcaidía 15.
The Eastern Flagrancy Unit, headed by Santiago Almeida, ordered the notification of the defendants in batches to testify and review backgrounds, before ultimately releasing them.
