Life Sentences for Killers of Lautaro Alvaredo

The Justice sentenced three men to life imprisonment for the homicide of Lautaro Alvaredo, 19, outside a nightclub in Laferrere, Buenos Aires. The accused, Fabricio Román Stella, 19, Patricio Nicolás Moreira, and Agustín Noguera, both 20, were considered co-authors of aggravated homicide for the premeditated concert of three or more people and for treachery.

In statements to the press, the victim's father expressed relief upon learning the verdict. The judges of the Criminal Tribunal No. 3 of the Judicial Department of La Matanza announced the sentence virtually, with the presence of Lautaro's parents.

According to the accusation, Moreira kicked him, Stella beat him until he was unconscious, and on the ground, Noguera kicked him in the head, which proved fatal. The autopsy revealed that Alvaredo suffered serious injuries to the head, face, and torso, and that he died from a cranioencephalic trauma.

The young man and his friends were assaulted outside the Cyrux nightclub in a fight that started inside and continued in a nearby square. The reasons for the altercation were supposedly insignificant to trigger the tragedy.
