Controversy Surrounds Government and 'Valijera' Case

The government of Javier Milei faces scrutiny over the 'valijera' case involving Laura Arrieta, where airport authorities allegedly failed to inspect suspicious luggage coming from Miami. This incident echoes the past case of Antonini Wilson, raising questions about political influence in customs operations.

Controversy Surrounds Government and 'Valijera' Case

María Luján Telpuk, known as the 'suitcase girl' of Antonini Wilson, made headlines again by recounting her experience in the case of Laura Arrieta, linked to the Government of Javier Milei. According to Telpuk, during this episode, the personnel of the Airport Security Police and Customs received instructions from Executive authorities not to proceed with the inspection of a large number of suitcases coming from Miami. What is striking is that this event occurred in the same place and context where the Antonini Wilson case unfolded.

Telpuk mentioned: 'In my case, the suitcase came from Venezuela, it was a private flight sector, at Aeroparque. Honestly, I don't know how things are handled today.' Following this incident, Customs announced that it would carry out an investigation to determine the contents of those suitcases.

The former official explained in a radio interview that in her situation, someone had relayed the order not to inspect the suitcase that the Venezuelan businessman was carrying with 790 thousand dollars undeclared, in 2007. Despite the instruction, Telpuk had the necessary authority to conduct that inspection, even when Customs refused to do so because it was an international flight.
