Protests Demand Impeachment of President Javier Milei

Personalities from different political spaces, human rights defenders, union leaders, and constitutional lawyers will gather in front of the National Congress next Thursday to demand a political trial against President Javier Milei. The mobilization arises after an incident that occurred during the opening of ordinary sessions, where Deputy Facundo Manes was attacked.

Among the conveners are Nobel Peace Prize winner Adolfo Pérez Esquivel, former Argentine ambassador to Venezuela Alicia Castro, constitutional lawyer Eduardo Barcesat, former director of the National Bank Claudio Lozano, and union leaders Rafael Klejzer and Hugo Godoy, among others.

Alicia Castro expressed her concern through social media: "A deputy raises the National Constitution, the Magna Carta that governs all Argentine citizens, and a hitman of the President threatens and attacks him. Are you going to wait for them to close Congress?".

For his part, Barcesat emphasized Milei's responsibility in the "fraud perpetrated" and recommended reading relevant works. Claudio Lozano criticized the president for the cryptogate and $LIBRA, as well as for attempting to turn the National Bank into a Corporation.

The conveners expect wide participation from various personalities and organizations next Thursday at the Plaza de los dos Congresos at 6 PM to support the request for a political trial. A strong rejection of the president's actions has been generated.

Hugo Godoy mentioned that Milei should reflect on his actions and words, considering the negative impact they have. The political climate is tense and the demand for clarification regarding the president's decisions and their possible consequences for the country is growing.
