Presidential advisor Santiago Caputo once again became the center of attention at the Legislative Assembly led by Javier Milei, amid a strong confrontation with radical congressman Facundo Manes. Caputo placed himself at the center of the scene due to a discussion with the legislator from Democracy for Always, which ended with him being reported for threats and violence.
The man from the president's inner circle arrived at the Chamber of Deputies accompanied by his collaborators and took a seat in one of the preferential boxes to listen to the State Chief's opening session speech. During the message, Manes showed a copy of the National Constitution, first to Milei and then to Caputo, who was behind him.
Upon leaving the chamber, Santiago Caputo encountered the radical in the Congress hallways, where, according to videos of the moment, they had a face-to-face discussion. According to Manes, the presidential advisor threatened to unleash "the entire State" against him and reported that Caputo's collaborators, including Fran Fijap, punched him in the chest.
The incident generated outrage within the opposition and once again placed Santiago Caputo in the middle of a scandal, after he interrupted an interview that Milei was giving last week. In the midst of the scandal over Criptogate, the advisor intervened in an interview the journalist Jonatan Viale was conducting with the Head of State, requesting that a question be removed and replaced with another.
Despite the presidential spokesperson stating that Caputo had made a mistake, the advisor traveled with Milei to the United States and maintained his privileged position within the presidential circle.
