Prisoner killed in jail in Argentine Tucumán

A prisoner was killed in the prison located in the city of Concepción, in the Argentine province of Tucumán. Law enforcement authorities detained another inmate as the suspected perpetrator of this crime.

According to information from the Prosecutor's Office, the victim was Leandro Santiago Robles, who was serving a sentence for aggravated threats. The attacker, Franco Santiago Almirón, had previously been convicted of aggravated homicide.

Reports indicate that the incident occurred following a fight between inmates in the behavior sector. During the scuffle, both men used makeshift sharp objects and inflicted serious physical injuries on each other.

Robles sustained severe wounds and was rushed to a local hospital, where doctors confirmed his death. Almirón is currently under strict guard awaiting the formal filing of charges.
