The president of the Democratic Block of Deputies, Pablo Juliano, has formally accused presidential advisor Santiago Caputo of 'violence and threats' against Facundo Manes. The accusation was made at the Chamber of Deputies police station after 11:30 PM. According to the Argentine news agency, the accusation is based on statements by Manes, who claimed that Caputo warned him about the use of state power against him.
Apparently, during a meeting, associates of Santiago Caputo physically assaulted Manes. The incident occurred after Manes presented a copy of the National Constitution to Caputo and President Javier Milei during a speech at the Legislative Assembly. This action triggered a confrontation that culminated in the alleged threats and violent acts by Caputo and his entourage.
In Pablo Juliano's words: 'It is unacceptable to resort to violence and threats to intimidate a political opponent. We must reject this type of behavior that undermines democratic coexistence and mutual respect among colleagues in the political sphere.' The accusation highlights the seriousness of the incident and the need to address any form of intimidation in the public sphere decisively.
