Lawyer Gregorio Dalbón alerted about the leak of conversations suggesting that Hayden Davis claimed to control Javier Milei through payments to his sister. The case was initiated after Milei promoted the cryptocurrency $LIBRA on his social media on February 14.
Dalbón requested to seize the cell phones of Javier Milei, Karina Milei, and Manuel Adorni, aiming to perform forensic analysis on their communications and digital files related to the cryptocurrency operation. The lawyer argued the necessity to ensure the proper chain of custody of the devices given the institutional severity of the case.
According to the presentation, there is evidence indicating that Karina Milei met with Mauricio Novelli, one of the main figures involved in the operation under investigation. The inquiry points to possible crimes such as abuse of authority, influence peddling, fraud, and bribery, and also involves Hayden Mark Davis, Julian Peh, Mauricio Gaspar Novelli, Manuel Terrones Godoy, and Sergio Daniel Morales.
In relation to the $LIBRA cryptocurrency scandal, a request has been submitted to the Justice to expand the investigation, covering more actors related to the case.
