Rodríguez Larreta Critiques PRO Leadership

Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, former head of the Buenos Aires Government, has expressed his disagreement with the current leadership of the PRO in Argentina, stating that the party has strayed from its original values. Although he is affiliated with the PRO, he asserts that he does not agree with the party being handed over to a government that does not value the public space and that his priority will always be the people and the foundational values of the party.

In his statements, Rodríguez Larreta has expressed his disapproval of the PRO's handover to Javier Milei and has indicated a distancing from Mauricio Macri, mainly for considering that the party has adopted messianic leaderships and discourses that do not respect the diversity of thought. He emphasized that he has always believed in an Argentina where one can debate without aggression and where differences of opinion do not turn anyone into an enemy.

The politician has also questioned Macri's management at the helm of the party, indicating that if he strays from the original values of respect, he too will not be present. Regarding his possible participation in future elections, Rodríguez Larreta stated that his return to politics has the main objective of defending the city, which he can do from the City legislature or the National Congress.

Rodríguez Larreta has been critical of his successor Jorge Macri and has expressed concern about the current state of the city, mentioning issues such as dirt, insecurity, and the lack of public works. Despite suffering a defeat in the 2023 PASO elections, the politician has decided to return to the political scene to continue working towards his ideals and to defend the interests of the citizens.
