The Chief of Staff, Guillermo Francos, responded to the criticisms of former President Mauricio Macri regarding the bidding for the Waterway, considering that he is mistaken in his arguments. Francos mentioned that the Government's intention in calling for this bidding was positive, although he acknowledged Macri's right to express his opinions.
In an interview on the program "Pan y circo" hosted by Jonatan Viale on Radio Rivadavia, Francos referred to Macri's comments about Santiago Caputo, presidential advisor, and the alleged irregular commission created for the Waterway. Macri had pointed out a supposed overcost for producers and described the bidding as a failure.
Francos emphasized the importance of the Waterway as a fundamental route for the Argentine economy, underscoring its relevance as an instrument for the country. In this sense, he questioned Macri's position and defended the initiative carried out by the current Government.
