President Javier Milei traveled to the United States to participate in the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). He was accompanied on this trip by the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, and the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo. Additionally, a communication team led by Manuel Adorni was part of the national leader's delegation.
During his stay in the United States, Milei met with important figures, such as businessman Elon Musk and the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva. The president was scheduled to speak at the CPAC following these meetings.
Milei's trip coincided with the controversy generated by the disclosure of the LIBRA token. During the visit, advisor Santiago Caputo joined the group, who is currently facing criticism.
President Milei also offered a conference at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) focusing on the economic model implemented by his administration since December 2023. In this intervention, he shared details about the economic policies being carried out in his country.
