Controversy Arises from Javier Milei's Interview Cut-off

The presidential spokesperson, Manuel Adorni, spoke this Monday about the interruption of Javier Milei's interview on Todo Noticias (TN) and explained the role of Santiago Caputo, an advisor who stopped the recording at a key moment in the conversation. According to Adorni, Caputo decided to halt the interview when Milei began to refer to the role of the Minister of Justice, Mariano Cáneo Libarona, in the Libra cryptocurrency scandal. At that moment, a voiceover ordered the interruption of the recording, generating controversy when the unedited video leaked on social media.

Adorni justified Caputo's action, acknowledging it was a mistake: "He usually does not participate in interviews, so he may not have known that interruptions should not occur under any circumstances." He emphasized that nothing incorrect was expressed, but Caputo has a penchant for excellence, which motivated his actions.

The spokesperson downplayed the incident and blamed social media for amplifying the controversy: "In the pursuit of excellence, a technical mistake was made." In a conversation with A24, Adorni denied that the Government imposes conditions on Milei's interviews and assured that the president does not suggest questions or topics in his interactions with the press.

During the interview with Jonatan Viale on TN, Milei stated that he was not aware of the details of the legal process against him, mentioning Cáneo Libarona. Adorni indicated that upon viewing the three minutes of context, it is simply a correction to avoid confusion with the Ministry of Justice.
