The head of the PRO bloc in the Chamber of Deputies, Cristian Ritondo, today reaffirmed the request for a "thorough investigation" into the cryptocurrency scandal involving President Javier Milei, but clarified that he will not join "the speculation of the club of failures that believes it can take down a government."
In a categorical statement, Ritondo rejected the possibility that the controversy could redefine the political and electoral relations of the PRO with La Libertad Avanza. "It would be very speculative on our part. We are on the right side," he stated.
Regarding the negative impact that the scandal surrounding the sponsorship of the Libra cryptocurrency may have on Milei's image, Ritondo pointed out that "we will see that," but emphasized the importance of conducting an investigation: "There is a judicial investigation led by Dr. Servini de Cubría. There is a judicial investigation and an internal investigation."
The politician also highlighted the PRO's support for the government's measures in this matter: "What we must do is what we are doing, which is to demand the same thing the government is doing, which is a thorough investigation. We support what we believe is right and we have been doing so since day one."
Ritondo reminded that the Bases Law was the first important law they worked on in Congress and reaffirmed the belief in economic stability and the way to manage the State as fundamental principles that will continue to be upheld.
