The Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, and the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, led an affiliation event for La Libertad Avanza (LLA) in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Palermo. Accompanied by militants who welcomed them with chants of support, the national officials arrived at Plaza Seeber to lead the party activity. In addition to Milei and Caputo, Sebastián Pareja and Norberto Milei, the president's father, were also present, among others.
The event took place amidst controversies generated by the cryptocurrency $LIBRA. Despite rumors of cancellation due to the scandal sparked by Milei's promotion of a cryptocurrency on social media that suffered a rapid drop and caused multimillion-dollar losses, the president's sister and the Minister of Economy attended the event.
During the event, the officials were surrounded by a group of libertarian militants who acted as a barrier, preventing access to the press and other attendees. This avoided any questions regarding the cryptocurrency that prompted denunciations against the president and calls for impeachment from the opposition.
When getting out of the vehicle that transported them, Karina Milei held a sign with the inscription "The Forces of Heaven". The affiliation event saw the participation of around 200 people, who showed their support for the La Libertad Avanza party.
