Regarding relations with the United States, opinion is divided: 46.7% oppose strengthening ties, while 44% support it. On the other hand, the survey reflects that the majority of Argentines fear the consequences of tariffs and economic policies of Trump on the local economy, considering that the U.S. president's administration would have negative impacts for the country.
The survey also reveals the emergence of doubts about Javier Milei's ties to Trump. 46.8% of respondents believe they would be harmful, while 36.6% think otherwise. Furthermore, disapproval of the U.S. president increased by more than four points in the last month.
According to the study, Milei's negative image increased from 45.4% in December to 49.9% in January, while his approval suffered a slight setback, reaching 46.8% in January. Regarding Milei's management, there were polarized opinions in the survey, with negative perception predominating.
On the other hand, public opinion was queried about Javier Milei's rapprochement with Donald Trump and the possible consequences for Argentina. Additionally, respondents were asked about the main problems in the country, finding that 48% see unemployment as the largest concern.
In summary, Argentines express concern about the reduction of durable goods purchases, corruption, relations with the United States, and the possible impacts of Trump's policies on the local economy. Additionally, there is a negative trend in the perception of Milei and his management, as well as concerns about his relationship with the U.S. president and the priority issues for the country.
