Two men were arrested for the alleged knife murder of two women in a house located in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Villa del Parque. The double femicide took place on Thursday afternoon when the police intervened in an apartment on Pedro Moran at 3100. At the scene, the officers discovered the bodies of a 36-year-old woman and a 59-year-old grandmother, the mother of one of the detainees.
According to police sources who informed the Argentine News Agency, everything started with a fight in which both men were injured and had bloodstains. One of them accused the other of stabbing him inside the home. A bloodied knife was found at the scene, as well as 45 marijuana plants and several cell phones.
One of the suspects, 26 years old, explained that he had argued with his uncle, with whom he lived, after the death of his grandmother. He claimed that he sometimes also resided in an apartment on Pedro Lozano at 3200, in Villa del Parque. The injured were taken to Tornú and Zubizarreta hospitals by SAME, while the police carried out the necessary investigations and seized items related to the crime.
On the other hand, a 70-year-old man who identified himself as the partner of the 59-year-old woman, the grandmother of one of the implicated, mentioned that he had lost contact with her 17 hours earlier. He called the phone seized by the police, and it rang, confirming the tragic news.
In light of this situation, the National Criminal and Correctional Court 54, headed by Dr. Candela, Secretariat 73 of Claudia Cavalleri, has ordered the arrests in this case. The Mobile Criminal Unit (UCM) was responsible for collecting evidence such as the knife and the sheets at the scene. The magistrate has also arranged for police presence at the residence on Pedro Lozano, where the bodies were found, until they are transferred.
