The Government appointed Fernando Jorge Brom as the new Undersecretary of Environment, replacing Ana Alamas, who recently resigned. According to official sources reported to the Argentine News Agency, Brom had a meeting with the Secretary of Tourism, Environment, and Sports, Daniel Scioli, as part of the process prior to officially assuming his duties.

Regarding his appointment, Brom stated: "It is an honor and a great challenge to take on this responsibility in such a crucial area as the environment. I am committed to contributing to the care and preservation of our surroundings, promoting policies that encourage sustainable development and ecological awareness in society."

The new undersecretary has a broad background in environmental issues and is expected to bring his experience to the implementation of measures for the protection of the environment and biodiversity in the country.
