The governor of the province of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, has criticized the economic policy of Javier Milei's government, stating that speculation is on the rise while work, production, and tourism face difficulties in Argentina. During a Summer Conference in Mar Chiquita, Kicillof emphasized: "Speculation is thriving and work, production, and tourism are struggling." He expressed his commitment to continue working for security in the Province.
The event took place at the Parador Mirador Beach Club in Santa Clara del Mar, hosted by interim mayor Fabián Jacquet, as mayor Walter Wischnivetzky is on leave. Kicillof also met with productive sectors in Balcarce as part of a series of meetings he is holding in various tourist spots of the province to promote tourism and analyze the development of the summer season.
During the conference, the governor stated that Milei's economic policy does not benefit anyone and criticized the "financial gambling" that maintains a stable exchange rate in the country. Moreover, he expressed his dissatisfaction with the paralysis of national roadworks, even those with international funding, describing the situation as a result of cruelty, inefficiency, and ineptitude.
Kicillof also referred to security in the province of Buenos Aires, a topic that has been under debate lately due to episodes of violence in places like Moreno and Mar del Plata. He highlighted that statistics have improved thanks to investments and training in the security area. At the same time, he criticized Milei for his complexity in economic speeches, stating that when he speaks in Chinese it is to hide the scam that he is carrying out.
