The Ficha Limpia project was approved in the Chamber of Deputies with a comfortable result, after overcoming differences with the dialoguing blocs that had signed alternative dictums. The initiative received support from various parties such as UCR, Democracia para Siempre, Encuentro Federal, Coalición Cívica, Innovación Federal, and other minor blocs.
In the voting, 39 members of La Libertad Avanza, including the president of the lower chamber, Martín Menem, declared their support for the electoral law that required an aggravated majority. For their part, all 37 representatives of PRO voted unanimously, along with 19 of the 20 members of UCR, with the exception of Soledad Carrizo, who was absent from the session.
Of the total 16 votes from Encuentro Federal, Miguel Pichetto and Nicolás Massot abstained, while Jorge 'Loma' Ávila, Carlos Gutiérrez, and Natalia de la Sota were absent. Notably, Esteban Paulón and Mónica Fein, socialists from the bloc, ultimately supported the measure despite some initial doubts.
The bloc of Democracia para Siempre, Innovación Federal, and the Coalición Cívica voted in favor of Ficha Limpia, as did MID, Independencia de Tucumán, and Producción y Trabajo de San Juan. Other independent deputies also supported the initiative.
Against the project, 98 deputies voted in rejection, including the majority of Unión por la Patria, the Left Front, and Sergio Acevedo from Santa Cruz. Some legislators were absent or did not participate in the voting, which determined the final result of the approval of Ficha Limpia in the Chamber of Deputies.
