The blocks of the Civic Radical Union (UCR), Federal Encounter (EF), and the Civic Coalition (CC-ARI) have demanded explanations from the Government regarding alleged irregularities in the terms of reference for the Hidrovía tender, expressing concern about a potential bias in favor of a specific bidding company. Rodrigo de Loredo, president of the UCR block, and Nicolás Massot from Federal Encounter, have announced their intention to call committees to address this issue next week, after which the CC-ARI, represented by deputy Maximiliano Ferraro, joined the request after filing a legal complaint.
In the presentation of the complaint, concerns were expressed over alleged irregularities and directions in the terms that could influence the key tender for Argentina's future, which now includes a concession period of 30 plus 30 years. The prosecutor in charge pointed out the existence of evident anomalies in the drafting of the terms, which has generated concern in the parliamentary opposition.
During a special session to discuss the Clean Slate project, Massot and other legislators emphasized the importance of addressing this issue, highlighting that the concessionary company has questionable backgrounds and links to someone involved in the Cuadernos case, who admitted to making millionaire payments to extend their service contract. Ferraro, for his part, stressed the urgent need to summon the officials responsible for the tender to provide explanations regarding this matter.
The request for explanations and the complaint about possible irregularities in the Hidrovía bidding process have created a tense atmosphere in the parliamentary sphere, where several opposing blocks seek to clarify the situation and ensure transparency in this crucial process for the country's development.
