National deputy Carlos D'Alessandro from La Libertad Avanza expressed his opinion on the bill known as Clean Record, emphasizing that it is not designed to benefit a particular person. In this regard, he made a comparison between former president Cristina Kirchner and the bank robber Luis 'el Gordo' Valor.
In an interview on Radio Splendid, D'Alessandro pointed out that those who have committed crimes before the implementation of the Clean Record law should not run for office in order to obtain immunity. Referring to Kirchner, he questioned her intention to run for political positions after having held significant roles for decades in Argentine politics.
The ruling party deputy emphasized that the Clean Record law does not aim to benefit a specific person, but rather seeks to cleanse the political system which, in his view, has been becoming corrupt over several decades. He seeks the necessary support in the lower house for its approval.
In relation to Cristina Kirchner, D'Alessandro suggested that she should follow the example of former U.S. presidents and retire from the political front line to allow new figures with innovative ideas and projects to emerge. Additionally, he criticized the opposition for constantly focusing on Kirchner as their only leader, despite her previous criminal convictions.
